TGIF!

Yes, it is FRIDAY!  Since September 2013, my days have just run together. Hubby was laid off from his job and we took the time to practice "retirement".  We stayed so busy with household projects that had been put off for way too long.  By January, we were on top of it and wondering what we should do next.  That is when he got the call to return to work!  This week was his first week back in the office.  We have adapted quite well and I must say that it is easier to keep up with what day it is!

So, in keeping with the "challenging" life I have been leading.....I have a challenge card for you today.  This one is from the Card Concept.  My card was done in the Clean and Layering Style.

The challenge was to use a floral theme.  Here are the Stampin' Up products that I used:
Field Flowers Stamp Set
Simply Sketched Stamp Set
Bella Rose Designer Paper
Riding Hood Red Cardstock
Banners Framelits

Lately, It has been a Challenge

Yes, that is what I said!  Lately, my daughter and business partner has been a challenge.  Don't misunderstand.  She has challenged me to participate in challenges!  I am slow and as my blog title implies, stamping is not my only interest.  If I were to name my blog based on ALL my hobbies and interests, well........the title would be too long to display.

Today, I am presenting my entry in the Mojo Monday sketch challenge:

I also used colors from another challenge that expired before I could get the card made and entered.  What can I say?  I am not as young as I used to be, but I like how this turned out.

If you like what you see, visit out Etsy store, The Rounded Corner, to purchase.  This design can be customized for any year birthday or anniversary!

It's a Fabulous Friday!

Last week, Raleigh was hit with a winter storm that made travel nearly impossible.  First there was snow, then sleet and finally rain.  Valentine plans and basketball games had to be rescheduled.  So last night, my UNC boys whooped up on Duke and today, I was able to deliver aprons (actually more like a bib) to the nursing home.  Some of the ladies at my church have been working on aprons since January and we had planned to deliver them last Friday, on Valentine's Day.  A week later, the blessing was just as sweet.  They loved them and were so happy to receive them as our gift to them.  I can't believe people actually go to nursing homes and try to sell stuff to the residents.....but I digress!

I don't have pictures yet of our trip out today, but I do have some cards to share with you.  I actually made these for a challenge, but didn't get them posted in time :(

I finally had the opportunity to ink up Cool Kids!  Enjoy!

A Return to Crafting and Blogging

It's about time!  Yes, life has been just a little interesting since my daughter's wedding in 2012!  But, things are settling down and I am ready to start blogging again!

The most exciting thing is my new craft space!  Robin and I live just 10 minutes from each other now and the house she lives in has a gorgeous craft room.  Yes!!!! We will be spending many hours creating together in this new space.

Today, I want to post a card that I made for the Fabfriday Challenge.

Here is the sketch........

Here is the card I made..
