Thanks for all the prayers today! The IVP took longer than expected because Robin's veins would not cooperate with the nurses to start the IV. After six attempts, they called in the IV Specialists who got it on the first try. Next time I will inform them prior to the appointment that she will need the specialists. Bless her heart! She had little cotton swabs all over her arms when Ken and I went in to see her.
Her Lyme doctor should have the results of the test tomorrow and we will know for sure if she has kidney stones.
Also tomorrow, Robin begins a parasite protocol. Her first drug is Biltricide. She takes this for two days, targeting Schistosomiasis and blood flukes. Biltricide is an anti-malarial drug. When she has taken this class of drugs in the past, she's had some pretty severe reactions. We are preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best!
Robin's spirits were good when I left her today. She is very tired from today's "outing" and a little nervous about tomorrow, but hopeful that this will be the protocol that gets her over the hump and moving forward to better health.
And Then...
Tonight, I find myself sifting through a multitude of photos, both digital and snapshots. I want to linger here for a while and remember the good times. They were such good times!
